How to Choose the Right Faucet Finish
Brushed Cool Sunrise
GROHE prides itself on its StarLight finish technology, which is designed to coat our faucets and bathroom accessories with a more scratch-resistant surface that can stand up to everyday wear and tear. However, for the ultimate protection, it’s important to keep up some simple but essential maintenance. Using a small amount of baking soda or vinegar mixed with distilled water, gently dab the faucet to remove spots and fingerprints. It’s essential to use a soft, microfibre cloth to protect the brushed coating.
Fingerprints are often hidden on a matte finish, but water marks and residue can easily show on the dark surface. To keep your matte black fixtures looking their best, wipe them down with a microfibre cloth and a mild solution of one part vinegar to two parts water. For fixtures with more build up and residue like shower heads and hand showers, soaking the faucets in the solution for a few hours helps to softly remove the buildup without damaging the beautiful finish.
Chrome fixtures always look their best when they’re shining spot free, and it doesn’t take much more than warm soapy water to achieve that. Mix a bit of dish soap or detergent with warm water, then use the mixture to remove unappealing marks from your chrome bathroom or kitchen fixture, and wipe dry for sparkling results. For tough to beat build up, spray a gentle vinegar solution on the faucet and let it sit for 15 minutes before wiping.
Like the StarLight Chrome finish, Hard Graphite’s lustrous shine is enhanced with some easy cleaning tips. Similar to its silver counterpart, a gentle wipe down with a diluted dish soap or vinegar solution will get rid of water spots, fingerprints, and buildup for a kitchen or bathroom fixture that looks brand new.
Brushed Nickel Infinity
This traditional finish can continue to look its best by cleaning your fixtures with a microfibre cloth and a gentle cleaning solution, both of which won’t harm the brushed coating.
