No entries are accepted for Germany’s highest official design prize, which honours both products and personalities. Nominations are honoured by the German Design Council on behalf of the Federal Economics Ministry.

Design Plus
Launched in conjunction with Messe Frankfurt the German Design Council and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in 1983.

The Design Plus award is presented alternatingly at the “ambiente” international consumer goods trade fair in Frankfurt and at the world’s largest sanitary exhibition – the ISH show.

Design Plus encompasses both overall product designs as well an appreciation for an exemplary trend-setting approach.

Organised worldwide, this is the epitomy of awards, founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann Jr.

More than 4000 entries spanning across 40 countries make the annual red dot design award one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world.

Europe 40 under 40® is an annual awards program that celebrates the next new talented generation of European designers. The program is directed to support new and emerging design talent that will influence the near future of European design, thinking, and theory with the direct consequence of impacting future environments and the future of European and international design.
